Krea — a creative suite with the best Realtime canvas

Krea is one of the most powerful and modern creative AI platforms. One subscription covers a claimed 64+ models: for images Nano Banana 2, Seedream and its own Krea 2; for video Kling, Veo, Hailuo, Wan and Runway. Add 3D generation, lipsync, image upscaling to 22K and video to 8K, custom LoRA training, and node workflows with an AI agent that builds the graph from a text description. The signature feature is the Realtime canvas: a sketch turns into a photorealistic image in under 50 ms, with a voice mode too. Model selection and usability are top-tier.

Pricing

There is a usable free tier (100 compute units a day, no card). Paid monthly: Basic — $9/mo (5,000 units), Pro — $35/mo (20,000), Max — $70/mo (40,000+). Billed annually it is 40% off: about $5, $21 and $42 a month. Billing runs on "compute units" — heavy models eat them fast, so active use gets pricey.

Strengths and weaknesses

The product itself is excellent: Realtime, a huge model selection, 3D, lipsync, upscaling. The downsides are money and service: credits burn fast, unused ones are lost after you cancel, and support is weak — emails often go unanswered for a long time (the company has replied to almost none of its Trustpilot reviews). That keeps its rating there around 3.1/5, even though Realtime fans give top marks.

Verdict

Krea is a heavyweight on capabilities and one of the most pleasant tools to work in (both my and the user's experience are positive). But the convenience comes at a cost — literally: expensive with heavy use and weak support. Net result — 7.3: an excellent product worth trying on the free tier, but keep an eye on your credit usage.
